Web server

Simply i can say, web server is a machine(hardware) which runs the web server application(software) to process the requests, it will do the following things,

1. Receives the request from the browser.
2. Process the received request.
3. Send back response to the server.
4. This response may be image, sound file or documen
5. If server unable to find the response for the corresponding request then it will send the the response to user as "404 Page Not Found"
